Dropbox – the immensely popular file sharing and syncing service – has just announced Dropbox for Teams. This new service will offer business-oriented features like billing, phone support, administrative control, encryption, and additional storage (up to 1,000 GB). Should you jump on board? Read this post from the ABA Legal Technology Resource Center.
As noted by the ABA, Dropbox has not been without its critics:
As we discussed earlier this year, there have been concerns about the service’s privacy policy and a recent, notable security breach left user data unprotected for a short time. These concerns have led some users to turn to alternative services like SpiderOak that stress security, while others have used TrueCrypt to add their own additional level of encryption to Dropbox.
Get more information here. Pricing begins at $795 per year.
